در افغانی جمع به چند طریق ساخته میشود :
١ - در آخر اسم مذکر که (و ، ی) نباشد ، (وُ نَ) زیاده
نموده جمع ساخته میشود :
آس (اسپ) آسُونَ
لاس (دست) لاسُون
غَر (کوه) غَرُونَ
تُوپ (توپ) تُوپُونَ
٢ - در آخر اسم مذکر که (ی) ماقبل مفتوح باشد ، آن فتحه را
بکسره بدل نموده جمع ساخته میشود .
سَړَی (آدم) سَړِی
لَرګَی (چوب) لَرګِی
زَلمَی (جوان) زَلمِی
