3. Gul- Bagh: One of the famous gardens
situated seven miles from Kabul towards
the west. The Kabul River runs through
it, which increase its attraction.
4. Bagh-e Sipahsalar: situated about
one and a half kilometres from the Gul-
Bagh on the eastern side on top of a hill.
Its beautiful buildings and garden are
worth seeing.
5. Qasar-e-Buzurg: One of the mag-
nificent grand buildings of Kabul, is
situated about seven miles from old Kabul.
This Palace and the garden are reserved
for the ministerial offices and is generally
called "Qasar-e-Darulfanoon."
6. Tapa-i-Tajbeg: Behind the Qasar-e-
Buzurg, at a distance of about 2 kms is
situated on top of a hill one of the
government palaces. Its beauty and fresh-
ness of air and its multicoloured flowers
are most attractive to the visitor.
B. All the following places, which are
situated in the suburbs of Kabul, are
worth seeing, and a little further towards
the north, some of them are:-
1. Shaker-Darah: situated 15 miles
from Kabul, and beyond that, Gul-Darah
and Ferzah, which offer a good view, the
beauty of the place and its waterfalls
invite the sightseer.
