در غرب شد ولایت معمورۂ (هرات)
در آب و خاك بهره ربوده بهر صفات
از قابلیتی که بخاکش خدا نهاد
از نوع زرع هر چه که خواهی ترا بداد
بادام و پسته جوز و عنب آلو و انار
انجیر و سیب و به بود و توت شهد وار
اقوام بس عجیب و غریبیست در هرات
هر يك جدا بفکر و بعادات و اصل و ذات
