Studies were continued in\nco-operation with Soviet technicians to\nfind out the extent of iron deposits in the\ncountry and the economic conditions\nunder which they should be exploited.\nAn extensive programme has been\nprepared to train mining personnel both\nin Afghanistan and abroad and 22\nstudents have been sent to various\ncountries for further training.\n\nA model wearing a dress made of the fabrics\nwoven in Feroz Factory.\n\nthe oil prospecting both areas were\nequipped with repair workshops for motor\nvehicles and a laboratory was established\nin Mazarisharif to analyze various crude\noils.\nProduction of coal at Aishpushta and\nKarkar mines was increased by\nmechanisation.
