{"book":"adl0967","page":663,"text":"(١٠٦)\n\nراه غربی از حوزۀ هریرود ازطریق «پارتیا» جانب «اکبتانا» (همدان) میرفت و از آنجا به «انتیوکیا» Antiochia وصل میشد. راهی که بطرف جنوب هندوکش به علاقۀ مفتوحه هندی میرفت از کوتل های معروف هندوکش به حوزۀ کاپیسا منتهی میشد و اینجا عموماً دوشاخه داشت که یکی ازطریق نجرو تگاو و لغمان به درۀ کنر و اسمار و چترال و سوات به «پوراشاپورا» (پشاور) و از آنجا به «تاکزیلا» وصل میشد و دیگری از راه جنوبی تر از حوالی کابل فعلی و خورد کابل و هده بصورت مستقیم به سواحل «اندوس» منتهی میگردید .\n\nهمین قسم از رودخانه های بزرگ مخصوصاً اندوس (سند) و اکسوس (آمو دریا) هم در مراودات تجارتی استفاده میشد . رودخانۀ اندوس از زمانه های قدیم تر قابل کشتی رانی بوده و خاطرات آن در تاریخ ثبت است . اسکندر حین مراجعت ازین رودخانه تا بحر توسط کشتی فرود آمد . «تارن» به این عقیده است که پادشاهان یونان و باختری قوای دریائی در دو رودخانۀ آمو دریا و سند داشتند و میگوید که نیزۀ سه شاخ روی سکۀ «دمتریوس» و تصویر «پوزیدون» ژنی دریا روی سکۀ «انتیماکوس» دلیل بر این است که ایشان قوای دریائی در دو رودخانۀ «اندوس» و «اکسوس» داشتند (۱) . از روی نگارشات «استرابون» چنین معلوم میشود که مال التجاره هندی با آب های آمو دریا به دریاچۀ «ایرکانو Ircano» (بحیرۀ خزر) و از انجا ازطریق «کورا Kura» و اراضی مجاور به «اوکسین Euksin» یعنی بحیرۀ سیاه حمل و نقل می یافت . قراریکه «ترعور» تشریح میدهد مال التجاره مذکور از «کوفن» یعنی حوزۀ کابل به ۷ روز به باختر و سواحل آمو دریا برده میشد .
