{"book":"adl0940","page":225,"text":"ترکستان ۲۲۰\n\nبنام شرقی و غربی بدو قسمت جدا نمود. پامیر شرقی بغایت وسیع بوده، اهالی اش از قارا قرغزان کوچی عبارت است که نفوس ایشان بدو هزار و پانصد نفر بالغ میباشد .\nقسم غربی پامیر پست بوده، درین قسم رود بسیار است . این رودها چون اکثرا از جاهای بلند و مرتفع میریزند، ازین جهت در مجرای خود شلاله های بسیاری پدید میآورند که اینها به \" پامیر \" لطافت مخصوصی میدهند. درین قسم، در میانه کوهها وادیهای منبت هم موجود است هوای این طرف نرم و خوب بوده، همه گونه نباتات میروید . چون بطرف جنوب بیش تر رفته شود، انگور و میوه های دیگر هم بسیار بعمل میآید . عموما این طرف پامیر از جهت طبیعت و منظره خیلی قشنگ میباشد . در پامیر غربی بقدر بیست هزار تاجیک مشغول دهقانی هستند .
